Chuck Head

Chuck Head was born in the North Georgia mountains, and caught his first trout at the age of two. He spin fished the streams of Southern Appalachia until he was twelve, when he saw his first person fly fishing while on vacation in Montana. That year for Christmas, he received his first fly rod and reel combo, and fly tying kit.

Becky's ideal guide day would include "Introducing clients to fly fishing the streams of the Southeast and making friends along the way. Some of my most fullfilling days on the water include instructing the Casting for Confidence participants to their first trout on the trophy waters of Noontootla Creek."

He began guiding for Unicoi when he was 18, and has been guiding most of his adult life. He now guides for Unicoi half of the year, and guides on the Taylor River, near Crested Butte, CO the other half.
