Fly Fishing 101 & 201
This Orvis-sponsored class is completely free: Learn the basics of fly casting and outfit rigging from one of our skilled guides. In addition to learning basic
fly fishing skills, you'll be given a free membership in Trout Unlimited as well as a free membership in the Federation of Fly Fishers - as well as a coupon good toward in-store
offers of special Orvis products
FF101 classes will be held each Saturday in May and June at 9am, 11am, and 1pm: reservations are required - just give us a call at the shop to register.
Once you've completed FF101, you're ready for FF201 - an on-stream continuation of the skills learned in FF101, which is a pre-requisite. For a $50 fee, we'll take you out on our private
trophy stream to help you take the next step and you'll have a chance to catch your first fish on a fly rod!
FF201 classes will be held every Sunday in May and June at 1pm: again, reservations are required, just call the shop.
Fly fishing is a great way to get the family together outside, and the FF101 and FF201 classes are the perfect entry to the sport. All ages are welcome to attend, but we recommend a minimum
age of 10, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. But bring the whole family and learn what the great sport of fly fishing is all about!
