Phil Culver

Phil comes from Northern California, where he started fly fishing at the age of 14, fishing for salmon and steelhead on the San Lorenzo River in Santa Cruz and also spent a lot of time hiking and fly fishing in the Sierra.

In 1996 his job brought him to North Georgia to the Clarkesville area, so he naturally spent a lot of time fishing the headwaters for native trout or the Georgia Power lakes for bigger trout.

Phil has been guiding for Unicoi Outfitters for over two years now. For Phil, guiding has never been all about catching fish - he really enjoys being on the river with great people, sharing his knowledge of the sport.
